A complete improvement in every way; they've upped their ability to craft catchy melodies, have
fixed their production issues, and have made a complete departure from the "party hardy" lyricism
of the last album. The new vocals are also a massive improvement.
Edit: Album is already growing hard, early contender for AOTY.

Catchy and well-written lyrics along with lively instruments. Truly leagues ahead of Palisades' previous albums. Not just a step in the right direction, but a full leap.

Who would have thought a stripped down pop rock
album would be the best thing these guys ever
made by far. The execution is just so fucking
clean. Plenty of raw emotion, plenty of
interesting hooks, plenty of meaningful lyrics,
and nearly every song is one I come back to.

First Palisades album I have ever given a spin. Woah. Completely blown away. You know, people used to make fun of the type of music this band started off playing. But in the end, this band has adapted to their environment and has blended their adolescent synth-core roots with mainstream pop rock, and has created unprecedented music that has set new heights for post-hardcore standards, and now everyone else is getting in line.

I'm probably overrating this a little bit, but these guys deserve an enormous amount of credit for the improvement shown here in comparison to their previous material. I really love the drum sound, too; far more tribal and visceral than the genre standard.
