0.0 | Observer EMERITUS | October 14th 20 | I'm an outlier in comparison to their more devout fans, but I honestly view this as an honest-by-God return to form for them. Throughout the 2010s, Colour Haze veered away from the winning formula that made their 2000s releases so unstoppable and amazing by throwing us a batch of bloated, long-winded releases that took far too long to get anywhere (and most often not getting anywhere, really). The riffs and the melodies on We Are are back to the legendary band's prior high standards, and best of all, the guys don't waste so much fucking time to get to these high points either. By far, We Are is their best album since their masterpiece in 2008's All.

3.3 great | Erwann S. STAFF | February 5th 20 | The German stoner/psych kings come back with an ok stoner/psych album. The production is fuzzy as expected, the musicians' performance too, but not much here gets off the beaten tracks, and it's a shame as the more adventurous tracks immediately stand out. It's a good 420 record, as some cuts here do the job very well (eg The Real, Freude III) but there's better and more engaging stoner records out there (eg: their s/t). Nevertheless, I'm a sucker for such a genre. The National Geographic cover is as ugly as my ass tho.
