Van Ghost is a band from Chicago, Illinois, formed by concert promoter Michael Harrison Berg and featuring vocalist Jennifer Hartswick.
The band's sound, categorized as Alt-Country, is comprable to Wilco and Ryan Adams and relies on extended musical passages that
owe a debt to Jam Bands like Phish and The Grateful Dead.
With a revolving line-up of guest musicians, Van Ghost has toured sporadically playing one-off dates at the Rothbury Music Fest and the
Hoxeyville Music Festival.
Van Ghost made its recorded debut in 2009 with the CD Melodies for Lovers on Split Red Records.
