The Verve

Combining shoegaze and traditional british rock of the 60s The Verve rose to become one the most significant bands of the modern era. OriginallycalledVerve , the band was formed by singer Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bassist Simon Jones and drummer Peter Salisbury in Wigan, Great Britain in 1989. They released their first single "All in the Mind" prior to a self titled EP in 1992. Their trippy and atmospheric full length debut"A Storm in Heaven" was released in 1993.
