The Scourge of Carpathia was formerly known as Fallenday. But after moving to Reno and losing a member, as well as writing a new album, they changed their name to The SOC and will release their first album, Release the Hostage, October 31st. The Scourge is hardcore, but doesn't strictly keep their music to those constraints. Instead, they expand into other territories such as metal and even a little classic rock. The Scourge has a signature breakdown in every song, and while the name may suggest a certain level of nerdiness, they keep it down...sort of...
