One of the most influential bands of the genre. The Promise Ring solidified an entire mindset, singing style and playing style. Formed in 1995
as a side project of Davey vonBohlen while he was more involved in Cap'n Jazz (a seminal indie/emo band.) The Promise Ring was destined to
die a horrible death as Davey pursued the much more popular and successful Cap'n Jazz as a last farewell to Promise Ring he toured with them
and upon return home....... Well let's just say the Promise Ring was in existence for another 7 years.
