The Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Quintet is one of the many side projects featuring Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and several
bandmates from The Mars Volta such as, bassist Juan Alderete, saxophonist Adrian Terrazas-Gonzalez, and percussionist
Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez. The Quintet was formed to compose their first album under the new moniker, The Apocalypse
Inside of an Orange, which features a much more prominent Jazz influenced sound.
