Sacred Reich had a varied career, releasing good albums and gaining a fair cult following but not achieving the major success many feel they deserve. Their first few releases featured a faster, hardcore-tinged thrash sound, while American Way and the later releases were a more controlled (but still aggressive) form of thrash. On and off through much of the nineties, they reunited in 1997 long enough to record their Still Ignorant live album, and then were quiet again, until their announced split in March of 2000.
