Rize are a Japanese punk/nu metal band that formed in 1997. They are known for their cutting hard rock and nu metal crunch in their songs (especially in their earlier material), and, along with Dragon Ash & Maximum the Hormone, Rize are credited to helpskyrocket the nu-metal fad in Japan, which started initially around the late 90's and the early 2000's. Since Rize's 2010 album, "Experience", the band has been experimenting with alternative rock as well.
