Powder was a short lived alternative rock band from London that first formed in 1994. Although they had a relatively large buzz, specifically with their single “Afrodisiac”, Powder ended up abruptly disbanding in early 1997, rumored to be because of frontwoman Pearl Lowe being pregnant. Lowe would go on to join the supergroup Lodger immediately after Powder split.
