With only a few live performances under their belt, Our Last Night entered the studio shortlyafterwards to record their first EP,
We've Been Holding Back. Vigorous live performances helped theband earn respect and fans throughout the New England area
and by 2005 they entered the studioto record their next EP, Building Cities From Scratch. In the summer of 2007, after being
impressedby their self-made demos, owner and president of Epitaph Records, Brett Gurewitz, came calling andinvited the band
to join the label.
