Born on February 20, 1937, Nancy Wilson is perhaps one of the best-known and most acclaimed classic jazz singers out there. With over 70 albums and three Grammy awards under her belt, Wilson has also collaborated with fellow jazz legends such as saxophonist Cannonball Adderley and pianist Billy Taylor aside from her incredibly extensive and fruitful solo career; her status as a jazz icon has gained her nicknames such as "The Girl With the Honey-Coated Voice" and "The Complete Entertainer." Along with jazz, Wilson has also dabbled in genres such as pop, blues, cabaret, and soul.
