Made up of vocalist Mark Arm, guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Matt Lukin, and drummer Dan Peters, Mudhoney was the first real success of Sub Pop Records with their single "Touch Me I'm Sick". The band later released the Superfuzz Bigmuff EP, which some claim to be their greatest release to date. Mudhoney signed to major label Reprise in 1992, and released their major-label debut, Piece of Cake. They continued to release albums until Reprise dropped them of their contract in 1999. They then went back to their original home at Sub Pop,and after Matt Lukin left in 2001,to be replaced by Guy Maddison, they continued to release albums, their most recent effort being 2008's The Lucky Ones.
