Midi, Maxi and Efti

Midi, Maxi and Efti was a short lived pop trio from Sweden that first formed in 1990. Formed by Alexander Bard of Army of Lovers fame, Midi and Maxi (born Midi and Maxi Berhanu) are sisters, while Efti (born Freweyni Teclehaimanot) was a close friend of the sisters. The trio had slight success throughout 1991, with two of their singles ("Ragga Steady" and "Masenko") breaking the top 40 on the Swedish charts at numbers 22 and 39 respectively. Their biggest hit was their single "Bad Bad Boys", which reached number 11 on the Swedish charts and number 98 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, becoming their only release to crack the American Billboard charts. Midi, Maxi and Efti released their self-titled debut album in 1991, before disbanding in 1993.
