Boosie's major label debut, Bad Azz, was released in 2006.[1] It contained the single "Zoom" featuring Yung Joc. In2007,Boosie and Webbie performed on the remix of "Wipe Me Down" by rapper Foxx. Streetz Iz Mine, a mixtape with DJ Drama, wasreleased in2008, and in the same year Boosie appeared on singles "Independent" by Webbie and was among several rappers featured on "OutHereGrindin" by DJ Khaled. and Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz was released in 2009. "Better Believe It", featuring Webbie andYoungJeezy, is the first single off of Superbad.

Lil Boosie has six children.[2] Shortly after Bad Azz was released, Boosie announced that he had diabetes.[1] On October 22, 2008,Boosiewas arrested after East Baton Rouge sheriff's deputies found marijuana, another unidentified drug, and a gun in Boosie's car. Boosiepledguilty to third-degree possession of marijuana on September 22, 2009 and was sentenced to two years in prison the next day.[3] JudgeJames Moore doubled the sentence on November 10 after finding Boosie to have violated probation while awaiting sentencing.Between hisplea and sentencing, Boosie was electronically monitored and placed under house arrest. [4.

On June 17th, 2010 Lil Boosie was indicted on federal first degree murder charges of one Terry Boyd.[5] He also faces charges forthreecounts posession with intent to distribute Narcotics (Schedule II-Codeine, Schedule I-Ecstacy and Schedule I-Marijuana), threecountsConspiracy to commit Possession With Intent to Distribute Narcotics, and two counts Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into aPenalInstitution.[5] District Attorney Hillary Moore has asserted that Boosie may be facing the death penalty, and it was confirmed that heisindeed on death row in February 2011.
