Kuroyume are a highly influential visual kei band from Japan, that first formed in 1991. Throughout their career, they were
credited as being one of the first mainstream bands to popularize the Nagoya branch in visual kei, but went on a hiatus in 1999.
In that hiatus, frontman, Kiyoharu, went on to form the polar opposite of Kuroyume, SADS, which was essentially Kiyoharu's solo
project. In 2009, the band officially split, but officially reformed a year later.
