Kick the Can Crew were a Japanese hip-hop trio that formed sometime in 1996. Originally formed as a one-off side project, they
eventually became a serious act by 1999, due to the disbandment of emcee Kreva's previous By Phar the Dopest project.
Although Kick the Can Crew disbanded in 2004, they are considered today to be one of the most successful Japanese hip-hop
acts in history. However, in 2014, Kick the Can Crew temporarily reunited, to impressive fanfare.
