Katy Perry (born Katy Hudson in 1984) is an American pop singer. Perry released her debut album in 2001 (entitled Katy Hudson) however rebranded herself after signing with Capitol Records in 2007. She is best known for the hit song "I Kissed a Girl", from her 2008 album One of the Boys.
