Karnivool was born in Perth, Western Australia some time in late 1997. The five piece Rock band took a2 years to release theirdebut Self Titled EP in 1999. It's a release the band themselves prefer toforget about. 2001 saw the return of a muchmore mature Karnivool, with a follow up EP entitledPersona. Four years then passed, before they returned to the AustralianRock scene with their firstfull length album, Themata. Karnivool have since established a name for themselves with astringof excellent live tours, leaving some to label them as Australia's best live act of 2005.
