Ice is an alternative pop music project from Japan that first formed in 1990. Originally composed of vocalist Mayumi Kunioka and guitarist Kazuyuki Miyauchi, the duo have had some minor success, until tragedy struck the group when Miyauchi passed away from cancer in 2007. Due to his passing, Ice then disbanded. In 2012, Ice returned as an acoustic side project consisting of Mayumi Kunioka and different support musicians. While the project hasn't released any new material since Miyauchi's passing in 2007, Ice remain active today under the name of Mayumi Kunioka with Ice Band.
