Give up the Ghost (originally American Nightmare) were a hardcore punk band from Boston.
Signed to Bridge 9 records, GUTG only ever released two full albums in their short 5 year lifespan, but both those albums are considered masterpieces in the hardcore punk genre. So influential in fact, that part of the band's break-up was inspired by the fact that they hated being copied by new young bands.
