Fit For Rivals are a band that has to date released one album entitled Steady Damage. Comprised of incredible guitar work that is rather diverse for its genre and beautiful vocals from Renee Phoenix, this band has a lot of potential for the follow up to their debut, which is an amazing album in its own right. This was formed out of the ashes of the band The Explicits, a hardcore punk band that Renee set up after writing her first ever song Indestructible following ten years of experience at playing guitar but never writing songs. Following the breakup Renee decided to set up Fit For Rivals and focus more on melodies and her vocal performances and therefore shifted to the vocals only position, drafting in Thomas Amason on guitar in place of the role she had taken with The Explicits.
