Exile are a highly successful R&B/pop group from Japan. The group originally formed in 1999 by the head of the group, Hiro,
under the name, J Soul Brothers, until 2001, when the group adopted the Exile alias. Exile are known for their R&B-influenced
music style, with bits of electropop and house thrown in, which was uncommon in Japanese pop music at the time, and for their
overwhelming amount of performers and vocalists. There are roughly 14 members in the group, 15 in the history of the group,
including former member, Shunsuke Kiyokiba, who left in 2006 to pursue a solo career.
