Excel
Thrash, Hardcore

Excel was a crossover band with several strong ties to Suicidal Tendencies -- same hometown, Excel members playing in ST side projects, and Excel's debut album being released on Suicidal Records back in 1987. Excel's thrashy crossover metal style was arguably a tad more metallic than ST was at the time, but the two bands did sound somewhat similar, and Excel did enjoy moderate success in their day.
