Desdemona is a gothic metal band from Poland that first formed in 1996. Originally an ethereal-inspired progressive gothic metal band, the
group drastically changed their image and sound to a more industrial direction once original vocalist Joanna Radlowska left in 2001. She was
instantly replaced by Agata Pawlowicz, and despite having numerous other lineup changes throughout the years, Desdemona managed to
release three albums before going on a sudden hiatus in 2007 following the departure of Pawlowicz. In 2009, Desdemona returned with new
vocalist Agnieszka Lesna, and in 2012, Desdemona released "Endorphins", which was their first original full album release in 8 years. Despite
their huge following, Desdemona seem to have mysteriously been inactive since 2015.
