Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish six-piece Gothenburg melodic death metal band. Unlike the traditional Gothenburg style that focuses heavily on guitar melodies and harmonies, Dark Tranquillity uses keyboards to achieve a spacey, next generation metal sound.
