Dive is one of two spin-offs from Beach Fossils, one of Brooklyn's preeminent lazy-Sunday guitar bands. While Fossils bassist JohnPena's Heavenly Beat sounds low-key and tailor-made for cocktail hour, Dive, led by guitarist Zachary Cole Smith, is decidedly more guitar-driven.

Ioriginated this project in a bedroom with no internet and didn't know if it would ever leave the bedroom. "DIVE", the word, was an element ofwhat inspired the project in its genesis, but we've outgrown the name and its associations.
