Cristina Monet was born into opulence and wealth, attending Harvard and London’s School of Drama, floating freely between flats
in London, Paris and New York City. By chance, she began a music career with her satirical hit titled "Disco Clone.' She later
recorded two full-length albums, Cristina in 1980 (Re-issued as Doll In The Box in 2004), and Sleep It Off, in 1984. Despite having
never been commercially successful, her refreshingly unique and bizarre take on pop, disco, post-punk, and no wave is considered
legendary.
