Capone is a rapper from Queens, NYC. He is one-half of the critically-acclaimed duo, Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N), along with Noreaga. Shortly after the release of C-N-N's debut album, 1997's "The War Report", Capone was sent to jail, which would prove to be an ongoing theme throughout Capone's rap career. Due to Capone's frequent jail sentences, he was dropped from the Def Jam roster, which would then shake up C-N-N's unsteady future even more. During C-N-N's hiatus, Capone would go on to release a few mixtapes, albums and singles, which would fail to make a mainstream dent, unlike fellow C-N-N member Noreaga, who would go on to experience high amounts of mainstream success throughout the 2000's. In 2008, C-N-N released the single "Follow the Dollar", which is their first release since their 2001 "Y'all Don't Wanna" single. Capone would also release his third album, "Revenge is a Promise", in 2009, alongside C-N-N's comeback album, "Channel 10". C-N-N would go on to release one more album in 2010, "The War Report 2: Report the War", before splitting once more in 2011. Supposedly, the duo reunited once more in 2013, but Capone has not recorded a solo album since "Revenge is a Promise", nor has he been featured on an album since "The War Report 2". « hide |
