Briolette Kah Bic Runga is one of New Zealand's most successful musicians (behind Split Enz/Crowded House), having her 1996 debut album Drive premiere at 7X platinum and produce the international superhit "Sway", which further gained success in America through its inclusion to the American Pie soundtrack.
She's somewhat of a musical prodigy, having performed on many of the instruments in her releases, such as vocals, guitar, drums and keyboards. Through each succession, she's shown an efficient transition to new levels of maturity, but still maintains her fairly unique sweet singing and songwriting style, that usually produces some wonderful compositions.
