BWP

BWP was a female hip hop duo from New York City. Formed in 1989, BWP (which stood for Bytches with Problems) found instant success, more specifically with their 1990 single "One Minute Man", which surprisingly had strong airplay despite its controversial lyrics. In 1991, BWP released their first album, "The Bytches", which was a surprise smash and eventually was certified gold. The album's topic matter, which derived heavily upon sex, drew instant comparisons to Florida dirty rap kings 2 Live Crew. In 1993, BWP was scheduled to release their second album, "Life's a Bitch", although it was curiously shelved a few days before its release, for unknown reasons. Eventually, BWP decided to disband in 1994, and both members of the duo disappeared from the rap circuit as well.
