The members of the band “Arevatsag / Արևածագ” decided to perform Rock music wrapped in the clothes of National, Armenian, Folk music. This was done due to increase the interest of young generation towards Armenian national music, to perform veiled Rock music freely and to avoid governmental censorship. The band was active from 1977 to 1996 and in 1993 band recorded it`s album with the most popular performed songs of 70-s and 80-s. The band band performed great, melodic and inspiring Folk Rock, based on old national Armenian songs.
