Ami Suzuki is a highly successful Japanese pop singer, that first premiered on the J-idol television program, Asayan. Her debut
album went on to sell almost two million copies, which launched her to be one of the most successful solo Japanese idols in the
late 90's. She went on a hiatus in 2001, after a rather ugly lawsuit over royalties with her company at the time. When she
came back to the Japanese pop scene, she shook off her idol image, for a much more mature image.
