Vampire Weekend is an Indie band formed in 2006 in New York. The band has influences of afro-pop and to a lesser extent Western classical music, blended with their own breed of sound, often put under the umbrella term Indie rock.
The band has released 2 EPs (Vampire Weekend, 2007. The Kids Don't Stand A Chance, 2008) and one studio recording (2008's Vampire Weekend), with another slated for late 2009.
