Danielson is the Clarksboro, NJ, brainchild of songwriter/folk artist Daniel Smith, who developed the idea of an experimental folk-rock group and first executed his idea with his siblings as a final thesis project in college at Rutgers University. A collaboration-oriented group, Danielson is a hodge-podge of Smith's family and friends, and often includes notable indie rock and folk acts such as Deerhoof, Sufjan Stevens and Serena Maneesh.
