Anacrusis was one of the most unique progressive thrash bands of their time, which was from 1987 to 1994 roughly. One of the biggest things that made them so unique was the vocal ability of Ken Nardi. He had the ability to sing in the lower harsher registers as well as reach the high pitched screams that he used from time to time as well... and on top of that, he could sing as well, but he didn't sing in the high pitched vocal style most think of when they hear "progressive". He had the ability to sing in the lower harsher registers as well as reach the high pitched screams that he used from time to time as well... and on top of that, he could sing as well, but he didn't sing in the high pitched vocal style most think of when they hear "progressive". Another big part of their uniqueness was the songs themselves which could rage, be technical as hell, and still carry emotion.
