Bomb the Music Industry! (abbreviated BTMI!) is a DIY punk/ska band from Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. BTMI can often be found playing in basements and other underground shows although they have a thriving fan base and have scored a few big gigs not to mention some big name publicity, including the Washington Post and The Alternative Post (not AP). Bomb the Music Industry! (abbreviated BTMI!) is a DIY punk/ska band from Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. BTMI can often be found playing in basements and other underground shows although they have a thriving fan base and have scored a few big gigs not to mention some big name publicity, including the Washington Post and The Alternative Post (not AP). The crazy concoction of heavy keyboard, drums and a voice from lead singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist Jeff Rosenstock makes their music unique and insanely addictive. The gang of BTMI are a crazy bunch who have four albums of pure punk goodness for download free on their website and have been quoted saying "Making the music doesn't cast us anything so why should we charge people to listen to it." BTMI until recently have been unsigned and they have done their recording in Rosenstock's bathroom with an i-mac. Although they have a label it is run out of a garage and Rosenstock still prefers the acoustics of his bathroom to a studio and of course the music is still free. As for merchandise bring a blank shirt to one of their shows and they will make a custom spraypainted shirt and as always it is free of charge.
