Run the Jewels

In 2012, El-P produced Killer Mike's critically acclaimed album R.A.P. Music. Later that year, Killer Mike appeared on the track"Tougher ColderKiller" from El-P's Cancer 4 Cure. The following year they officially formed the duo "Run the Jewels", with analbum under Fool's Gold Recordsannounced for later in the year. It is set to be released through MassAppeal Records(Nas' newly founded record label) on October 28, 2014. Their follow up was a remix project titled "Meow the Jewels" which they made through a crowd fundraiser on Kickstarter making $60,000 ($2000 more than was previously asked). The album was released September 25, 2015. On January 2015, Killer Mike announced they had been working on "RTJ3". The album's lead single, "Talk To Me" was originally released on October 24, 2016 on Adult Swim Singles Program 2016. Their follow up single "2100 (feat. BOOTS) was released on November 11th. On December 2nd, the duo dropped "Legend Has It" and full details on "RTJR3" for a January 13, 2017 release date.
