Methadone Skies was formed in 2009 as an instrumental rock trio by Mihai Guta (bass), Flavius Retea (drums) and Raul Stanciu (guitar). Together with Alex Wehry (guitar), who joined in September 2010, the band adopted a heavier, stoner/psychedelic sound for the first LP, Enter the Void (2012). The experimental nature, combining several genres from post rock to psychedelic and doom metal, took off on the second LP, Eclectic Electric (2014) Colosseus (2016) and their latest epic, Different Layers of Fear (2019).
