Woods of Ypres is a Canadian melodic black metal and doom metal band with acoustic overtones. They play a black metal style that has somewhat ambient influences and a darker atmosphere. They are signed to Krankenhaus Records which is David Gold's record company. Woods of Ypres will release a new, full-length album in early 2007. The drums are already done, and according to David, all guitars were finished back in June (heavy, clean, acoustic), bass is almost done and keys are almost done.
