Suzi Quatro is an American singer and bass player that enjoyed big success in the early seventies, scoring hit singles in the UK and Australia.
She wore her leather jacket years before Judas Priest fashioned their leather, bikes and spikes. She flew to England at 21 to be a rock star,
while her sisters (also musicians) stayed home. She broke Alice Cooper’s nose in a friendly fight and by 1973 her single “Can the Can”
reached the top of the charts in the UK. She toured with Thin Lizzy, Slade and Alice Cooper. She did a Rolling Stone cover and was a playmate of
the month. Joan Jett references Quatro as her biggest influence. Oh, and she sang and played rock and roll like no woman before. Raunchy, wild
and sexy.
