Beyond Tragedy is an alternative metal project from McKinney Texas, fronted by Zack Goodenough of Metal act Golgatha. In this solo project, he mixes elements of folk,
alternative, shoegaze, jazz rock, ambient and black metal to create atmosphere and depth to his creations, a genre of music he refers to as “Spirit Rock”. He
is a founding member of the metal band Golgatha with his brother Alex, though his solo work is much more subtle and dynamic. His list of influences include
Deftones, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Smashing Pumpkins, Devin Townsend, Tool, Dir En Grey, Fair to Midland, Swans, Arcturus, Isis, Cynic, Sigur Ros,
