The first couple albums (Sirens, Power of the Night, and Fight for the Rock) showed a wild, raw energy. Though there would be a couple line-up changes in the rhythm section, the Oliva brothers were clearly the driving force creatively and the band were able to build their sound up very easily and quickly.
Hall of the Mountain King was a huge turning point because this was when they first got to go into the studio with Paul O'Neil, who has been their producer ever since.
