Ad Astra Per Aspera is an indie rock outfit from Lawrence, Kansas that was formed in 2001. They played their first shows in 2002. They then
released a debut EP, An Introduction To... in April 2003, and toured. Their sophomore effort Cubic Zirconia was released in May of 2004. They
are quite noisy and experimental, and often contrast screaming with gentle singing and piano.
