Cradle of Filth is an English symphonic black metal band formed in Suffolk, England in 1991. Their debut album, The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh, was released in 1994. During their career, the band has always had strong gothic metal influences added on to their symphonic black metal style.
The band has suffered from a revolving lineup virtually throughout their existence, with vocalist Dani Filth remaining the only constant member. The band has released 8 full-length albums, 2 E.P.s, 2 compilation albums, and one live disc.
