I Was a Cub Scout was a two-man synthpop band from Long Bennington and Collingham, in Nottinghamshire, England, consisting of William Bowerman and Todd Marriott. Formed in 2006, the band gained popularity through increased airplay on BBC Radio 1 and MTV 2.
I Was a Cub Scout was originally a one-man band, consisting solely of Todd Marriott. Lacking a drummer, Marriott used a drum machine to create the sound. William Bowerman joined the band in mid 2006, and played drums until their split.
