After fouryearsoflocal and regional performances as theopening act for suchnational acts as Testament, Hirax, Iced Earth andMunicipalWaste,Vektor hit the road for their first national touralongside label mates Exmortus insupportof Black Future inDecember2009through January 2010. They also toured the US in June–August2010 on their own.The band released its second album, Outer Isolation, on November 22, 2011, on the Heavy Artillery label.In 2012, the band signed with Earache Records after the label acquired Heavy Artillery's roster of artists. After several yearsoftouring andthe band'srelocation to Philadelphia, their third album, Terminal Redux, a conceptual work with a runtime of over70minutes, was releasedon May 6, 2016.In December 2016, guitarist Erik Nelson, bassist Frank Chin and drummer Blake Anderson announced via the band'sFacebookpage that theywould beleaving the band to pursue different projects for reasons the band chose to keep private. Thepost statedthat there was "no bigstory or drama," but"people and personalities simply change and drift apart and we've reachedour limit."The post was later removed byDiSanto, who stated in his own postthat Vektor would continue on and that he wouldkeep writingand recording music, stating that "As longas I live, Vektor will not die." « hide |
