A unique indie/chamber pop singer/songwriter, Sufjan Stevens writes some of the most creative music around. In the midst of a project of one cd for each of the 50 states, Stevens has also managed to release other albums, such as the highly acclaimed Seven Swans, that have a more religious tone. Sufjan employs all kinds of instruments, such as oboe, flute, brass, recorders, banjos, a chorus, as well as the normal guitars, drums, etc... to make beautiful, moving, dramatic indie pop music.
