His output since the 80s has been sporadic and uneven, but he returned to the public with a bang in 2002 with the release of the Back In The USA CD & DVD. The release was controversialised by McCartney's decision to reverse the 'Lennon/McCartney' songwriting credit on the songs in which he took a leading role in writing.
Chaos & Creation In The Backyard is McCarntey's latest release, and an apparent return to form for the songwriter. He performed most of the album himself, as was his tendency in the 70s, and the result is a very personal, polished album. « hide |
