Straight From the Fridge started in late 2007 when Leanne "Lawnee" Sabolish and Josh Pattison heard that Casey & Cody Martinez and Charles Hidy had quit local metal band Sheer Daybreak, and recruited them to form a new band with the intention of just having fun with music, playing many different styles & being silly. A "Glen Matlock" ensued with Charles not long after, and Kaelen Medeiros was given the difficult but rewarding task of being the band's performance keyboardist and lounger.

Straight From the Fridge started in late 2007 when Leanne "Lawnee" Sabolish and Josh Pattison heard that Casey & Cody Martinez and Charles Hidy had quit local metal band Sheer Daybreak, and recruited them to form a new band with the intention of just having fun with music, playing many different styles & being silly. A "Glen Matlock" ensued with Charles not long after, and Kaelen Medeiros was given the difficult but rewarding task of being the band's performance keyboardist and lounger.
After about a year of playing together, turmoil began to brew as Casey & Cody started bailing on shows, practices became few & far between, and Straight From the Fridge was ultimately side projected for metalcore band Blackened By Hatred. Hobbs (Acidic Death) drunkenly decided at a party that he would join the band as rhythm guitarist to help us out, and learned all the songs so that he could play them in the likely event that Casey bailed on another show. The band called it quits in early February 2009, after Casey & Cody bailed on the 3rd or 4th show in a row, and the band hadn't practiced in so long that they could barely remember what each other looked like.
A few weeks later, Lawnee decided that she missed Straight From the Fridge, and wanted to see the band back together & having fun the way they did in the beginning. She contacted Josh & Hobbs, and they were both equally as excited for a reunion. After a brief search for a new drummer, Seth Clickner (Acidic Death) was added to the line up. Josh left the band for personal reasons after their debut show with the new line up, but continued to play shows with the band until they found a new singer. Jory Green was added to the line up as vocalist and co-lyricist in May 2009. He played 2 shows with the band before leaving. Lawnee's insanity and instability then caused mostly by Yaz caused her to freak out, break up the band, and then cry in her room for days... Rest in Peace. « hide |
